Happy post-4th of July! Doesn’t quite have the same ring to it, but still it’s summer so it can’t be all that bad! This past 4th of July weekend was a busy one for our family where we took a day trip to the charming Mystic, visited Kykuit and checked out the fireworks over at Playland Park.
Having only been there in the winter for a visit to the Westchester Children’s Museum, we were excited to soak in the sunset and stay up late to view the spectacle.
Starting promptly at 9:30pm (with messaging leading up the start), we were amazed by the bright fireworks that were so close to us. Lasting around 30 minutes, my daughters loved the magic of seeing vivid and spectacular lights that illuminated the sky. We were also amazed by how close the fireworks were that we will definitely be making a part of our 4th of July tradition.
And Playland Park will be showcasing fireworks throughout the summer! Every Friday night until September 1st you can check out their Friday Night Fireworks , which coupled with a day at the amusement park seems like an awesome summer outing to me!
