It’s been five years since we moved to Westchester and we still haven’t found a favorite option for Chinese takeout (tragic, I know). This weekend this all changed when we had the opportunity to try out CHIGO, a new delivery/pick-up option serving up fresh, local, and organic Chinese cuisine. This includes authentic, and highly researched recipes utilize traditional preparations and incorporate only organic, hormone-free chicken, pasture-raised pork, grass-fed beef, wild-caught fish, cage-free chicken eggs, Chinatown noodles, and organic vegetables. They also use no MSG and high-fat fallout. Instead, CHIGO presents a more vibrant and fresh approach to Chinese cuisine for how people are eating today.
With a kitchen in Hawthrone, we opted for the pick-up option which started by ordering online (they also have the CHIGO App for ordering). The simple and straightforward process included a clear list of all of their menu options that we placed into a cart and ordered. We could even pick our specific pick-up time, factoring in how long it take for us to drive to their kitchen.
And we couldn’t have been more thrilled with the dinner. We ordered a variety of items like organic berkshire pork dumplings, vegetable spring rolls, berkshire pork and chicken bao buns, organic-free range sesame chicken, lobster fried rice and Shaghai lo mein noodles with vegetables.
Everything was fantastic! The food was beyond delicious with bold and flavorful dishes that everyone loved. Personally, I loved their lo mein and lobster fried rice and the kids went crazy for the sesame chicken and dumplings.
We even talked about the food the next day, remarking on how good it was and what we would order next time. A great addition to Westchester, not only is the food satisfying, it’s also great to know that it’s made using natural, organic ingredients as well doesn’t contain any hormones or anything artificial. And now we can finally say that we found our go-to Chinese takeout option.
