We are pretty psyched for the start of spring that will have us out and about more often, soaking in the sun. Another great way to make the most of the spring is a exercise more outside, which you can kick-off at the 3rd Annual Hudson River Park Games on Saturday, May 13th.
Presented by the nonprofit group Friends of Hudson River Park, this event will offer an awesome combination of fun, fitness and competition like no other that you can kick-off with The Games’ signature event – Healthy on the Hudson.
This personal fitness challenge features a Yoga Pod, Bootcamp Turf and Spin Stage on Pier 26 along Manhattan’s iconic waterfront will allow you to test out the most coveted classes from around the city and select your faves to create a summer-long routine hosted by the most sought-after trainers from studios like 305 Fitness, RETOX Yoga, CYC Fitness, Fhitting Room. All classes are $20 each (half of what they usually are!) and go towards maintaining all of the free programs offered in New York City’s Park for Play all summer long!
The Games also includes the Team Pentathlon—a no-holds-barred team competition for businesses and community groups—and a Games Village that includes live music, a Wine & Beer Garden by City Vineyard (after all, you need to reward yourself after an amazing workout), a Health & Wellness Zone, Kids Zone, interactive photo booth, and more.
Challenge yourself, have fun and get out there this spring!
