Exciting event news for May with the 22nd annual CMA Family Day and inaugural CMA Kids Fair on Charlton Street benefiting its free community programs on Sunday, May 22, 2016. During this year’s Family Day event, Come Make Art, young artists will have the opportunity to make art alongside renowned artists in a variety of workshops drawing from the artists’ studio practice in mediums including fine arts, animation, photography, graphic design, sculpture and more. All proceeds from CMA Family Day help support CMA’s free community programs, which bring high-quality arts education programs to under-resourced children throughout New York City.
CMA Family Day, which takes place at the museum from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., will also feature delicious food and drinks provided by local businesses and an auction benefiting CMA’s free community programs. Visitors will have the opportunity to bid on unique art experiences, such as private museum tours, gallery visits, and more in the auction. Online bidding runs May 9th through May 21, 2016, on BiddingforGood, and then transfers to the on-site silent auction for in-person bidding at the event.
Tickets start at $175 for adults and $85 for children over two years old, and ticket packages start at $1,000. A limited quantity of early bird family packages for four is available for $375. Ticket sales will be limited to maintain a comfortable experience for all young artists and will only be sold at the door if space is available.
