Calling all artists! In remembrance of the upcoming 20th anniversary of the terror attacks on 9/11, the AKC Museum of the is pleased to announce its “Salute to Search & Rescue Dogs” art contest.
The AKC is asking participants to create a painting that depicts the heroism of search and rescue dogs on 9/11. The contest will run from now through August 16th. Everyone, no matter your artistic ability, is encouraged to participate.
The top five’s art will be on display on the walls of the second floor of the museum as part of the new exhibit, 9/11 Remembered: Search & Rescue Dogs, opening in September. The winner of the contest will receive a cash prize and their art will be available for purchase in the Museum gift shop.
