The new book, Mindfulness Through the Stars: A Zodiac Wellness Guide by Ashley Flores, offers a different perspective on this connection with a guide that we can connect to who we are by better understanding our zodiac sign for specific self-connection, awareness and personal growth.

This clear (and fun!) guide outlines specific ways to take care of your body, mind and spirit while learning more about your zodiac sign to gain self-awareness and insight into who you are. This includes understanding the good, bad, and ugly of your particular sign as well as tips and ways to dig deeper into who you are for change and inner growth.

As a Gemini, I found this particularly revealing as the book provided eye-opening insight into some of my specific character traits, steps to create awareness around some of my negative traits and specific questions that I can myself ask to understand my purpose.

The book also includes a zodiac mindfulness section with positive mantras for all signs to profess, such as: I am the woman of my dreams, I am living the life of my dreams, and I am living my purpose. Flores notes that “they are positive reinforcement that motivates and inspires me to become the best version of myself.” She suggests to say these mantras everyday and even noted that they changed her life. In this section, she breaks this down even further by providing affirmations per sign to incorporate into your daily routine. She suggests doing this in a mirror by saying them with eye contact and force, which is both exciting and terrifying, but Flores notes that “this is your mental health. Prioritize it!”

Additional parts of the book include a journal challenge where you can recount your experience with reciting your daily affirmations and 10 self-care practice tips (for all signs) that you can incorporate in your life. I loved the tips to journal, mediate, eliminating negative self-talk and committing to a self-care routine, to name a few.

Bursting with positive and specific (and tangible) tips, Mindfulness Through the Stars: A Zodiac Wellness Guide is a fantastic way to discover more about yourself and channel ways to overcome insecurities, toxic traits, and shine like a star.
