A few weeks ago, we visited Tilly Foster Farm for the Collaborative Concepts Exhibit, an open-aired art exhibit featuring sculptures on their working farm.
Dubbed “The Farm Project 2020,” the majority of the sprawling exhibit was located near the windmill in Field 2 at Tilly Foster Farm in Brewster. From there, we walked around the field looking at cool sculptures and innovative pieces of art, amongst its rolling hills. This was so fun for the kids as they ran from sculpture-to-sculpture, soaking in the magic of the art and the farm.
This includes over 40 pieces of art from the region, NYC, and Switzerland featuring a range of mediums such as glass, metal, plexiglas, steel, yarn, cement, moss, and more.
As you can see, there are so many different and interesting pieces to observe. Some of our favorites were Sheepish by Hildreth B Potts, the flowing flower by Kris Campbell, Lash by Ellie Murphy, to name a few. While looking at the pieces, some of them had QR codes that you could access on your phone to learn more abut the artist or even make a purchase.
After looking at the art, we walked around the farm to see the animals where my daughter practically took to the pony that she loved to pet and follow as it walked in its open stable. We also saw pigs, chickens, horses and alpacas that is open to be viewed for self-guided tours from 10am to 4pm seven days a week.
A fantastic day of art and nature, the visit at Tilly Foster Farm is a must-check out experience for all!
