Tips for Safe Kids Day

April 24th is Safe Kids Day. While everyday is about safety, this specific day highlights the life-saving programs of Safe Kids Worldwide, an incredible nonprofit organization that’s working to protect children from unintentional injuries, such as drowning, fires, burns, poisoning and traffic injuries. Preventable injuries are the leading cause of death to children in the U.S., but with education and simple precautions, most injuries can be prevented.

This Saturday, and every day this month for Safe Kids Month, parents are encouraged to take action to keep their families safe. Parents can pick their top five actions from the master checklist of activities with #MyHigh5 (below)

To kick-start this important day, check out the recommended child safety checklist from Safety 1st and Safe Kids. They are definitely helpful as we get into Safe Kids Day, and as a resource for every now and again to check in with.
