Week 3 is here and it’s a sweet one! This week, we made Gummy Bear Slime and watched the We Are Bears Movie. My girls are all about slime, so they were thrilled to make the edible version (see below).
We modified the recipe a bit because we don’t use a microwave by boiling water and then adding a bowl on top with the gummy bears that I constantly mixed together until it formed a gooey solution.
While I was mixing, the girls got together the dry ingredients as they waited for the gummy bears to melt. Once they were melted I poured the goo into their dry mixture and they got to work, kneading and forming their sticky creations.
And while it was a lot of fun, it was also really, really messy! It also required a lot of arm work and more adding of the dry mixture to balance out the goo. After a few minutes, the slime formed and they were nibbling away at their creations.
This week, we also watched We Bare Bears: The Movie, a fun, action-packed movie that follows Grizz, Panda, and Ice Bear’s love of food trucks and Internet fame. These antics leads the brothers to unexpected mayhem, where they must go on a wild, hilarious and dangerous adventure to escape a foe that threatens to tear them apart. We loved following their fun, wacky adventure that took the crew on a wild adventure.
