We have all adapted since the pandemic by adjusting to the new normal. Popular Podcasters the Story Pirates have done the same by offering an incredible roster of live improv performances, writing and music classes, interactive musical and sketch comedy and more for kids stuck at home.
Along with free streaming content via StoryPirates.com, the Story Pirates recently launched the Creator Club, a subscription service, for kids ages at kids aged 6-12 years old, featuring daily content, writing prompts, live-streamed classes, improv, a daily radio show, and an extensive video library.
The Creator Collaborations is a fun way for kids to act and collaborate where kids can write stories together remotely or perform other members’ stories. Every day at 11 am ET, Story Pirates Radio goes live, featuring fan-favorite songs, play-at-home games, hilarious bits, and listener shout-outs, to keep kids busy and engaged in between podcast episodes. These “radio shows” are archived on the Story Pirates Radio page.
They are also offering Story Pirates University which includes interactive live-streamed classes taught by expert Story Pirates teachers. This includes writing lessons, script school, and Music Monday, which features guest composers behind Story Pirates award-winning songs. In addition to the live classes, Story Pirates University features three video series with downloadable worksheets that help kids develop characters, learn descriptive writing, and expand their vocabulary.
And for the summer, they will be offering Creator Camps! Dubbed as the “world’s silliest camp,” this online options, designed for ages 5-11, is available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for three hours each day.
This includes camp-themed classes like Heroic Heroes, Camp Quest, and Spy Training for June. Campers are broken up into small groups baed on their age where they can interact with other campers as well as work independently. The camp also requires the use of basic household items like paper, something to draw with, and tape for kids to use as they create.
