Sometimes the best adventures are the ones you don’t plan. After our AWESOME visit to TreEscape, we wanted to check out more of what to do in and around Vernon Township, NJ with a plan to do all things fall by going apple picking. After a delicious lunch at the Jolly Onion, we realized that most farms were about to close but saw that the Wright Family Farm was open a little later and decided to check it out.
Located in Warwick, NY (around 20 minutes away from TreEscape), we were instantly hooked as we saw a cow tractor ride from the road that we were all excited to try. Offering tons of attractions and things to do like the aforementioned cow train (!), rubber duck races, goat walk, pedal carts, hamster wheel, and more — the kids had a blast going from experience-to-experience with no thought of apple picking.
The cow train was by far our favorite as we were whipped through the grounds in a muddy train. The farm also offers donuts and food and even a corn maze that we didn’t have time to check out. While it was a random find, the kids had so much fun doing a little bit everything and can’t wait to check it out again soon.
