One of our most favorite books, and one that I have a read at least a zillion times over the past 8 years is The Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. And despite knowing that book inside and out, I still love it, and even more that that: I love how the story has become a beloved part of my kids’ childhood.
Now, this classic tale is coming to the stage in an Off-Broadway production of The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show. Featuring a menagerie of 75 enchanting puppets during a magical 60-minute show that faithfully adapts four of Eric Carle’s beloved books for the stage: The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse, Mister Seahorse, The Very Lonely Firefly and, of course, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
The theater company is also producing Autism Friendly shows (September 9 at 11am); and Spanish Language shows (Saturday, August 13 & October 8 at 2pm). How wonderful is that?!
