We just heard about a really cool and unique event to check out with the kids this weekend with the German puppet show “Punschi.” Held at the Symphony Space in NYC, the puppet show will include two shows this Saturday. This will two shows where kids and their families can check out stories of adventure and circus arts.
The shows will also include the following:
- Kasper and the Surprise – performed by JanaZeller – Kasper, beloved hand puppet hero of Germany known for his stocking cap and audience-engaging humor, packs to go on a journey. Before he can leave, a cow steals his suitcase. With the help of his best friend, the endearing giant Augustin, Kasper embarks on a rollicking chase to reclaim his suitcase from the cow.
- Fritzi’s Flea Circus
Performed by Shoshana Bass – Puppetry-based circus feats are presented by a tiny flea with a big personality. The audience will become involved as Fritzi performs as the strong man and the high diver. He is shot out of a cannon into the audience, invoking the power of imagination, play, and ear-wiggling, scalp-tickling, heartwarming fun.
