I’ve always thought that rugs help make a room look much nicer than having an empty floor. I have got hand-knotted rugs (Read more on Bazaar Velvet) around the house and I thought it was about time I added a new rug to the kid’s playroom to add a bit of decor. I never thought that we would have an actual playroom. Like a real area to store all of the kids’ stuff that wasn’t in the living room. In our new house, we have a room of their own, of sorts, to contain all of the books and stuffed animals and paints and play kitchen. It is a magical room of play, and of course, mess. And of course not too long after we received the rug, huge paint stains made its way on the the beautiful yellow shag. I threw the rug in the washing machine, and the stains were gone. It was incredible!
