Madison Square Park Conservancy’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

Madison Square Park Conservancy’s Tree Lighting Ceremony

There are tons of tree lighting ceremonies going on in NYC and one of our favorites is Madison Square Park Conservancy’s Tree Lighting Ceremony. This annual tree lightening ceremony is actually home to America’s first community tree lighting ceremony in 1912! Cool, right?!

This year, the festive celebration will feature a variety of seasonal activities including Mad. Sq. Hort seed packet activity with Gardener Steph, festive performances from The Sweetback Sisters, The New York Life Singers, and kids performer – and Mad. Sq. Park favorite –Audra Rox. Taste of Home‘s Gingerbread Blvd. will also help set the Holiday mood. There will also be holiday treats that’ll be provided by neighborhood restaurants Hill Country Chicken, Umi Kitchen, Almond, and Shake Shack.
