As I mention, I attended an awesome girl positive event over the weekend and was so excited to take home some thoughtful raising girls that are confident, strong, and brave. At the event I also learned more about Girls Leadership, a national nonprofit organization that teaches girls to be brave, resilient, and connected, equipping them to make change in their world. As I mentioned they host tons of workshops and classes for both girls and their parents, and they have an upcoming one called ‘Raising Resilient Girls’ that I’m super excited about!
Led by NY Educator Ashley Hamilton, this one-hour talk (followed by a 30 minute Q&A) will discuss the challenges girls face today, the reasons girls struggle, and solutions to help them with confidence. At the event, Hamilton will also share how to help parents help girls practice assertive self-expression, emotional intelligence and healthy relationships, preparing them for a life of personal and social leadership. Her engaging presentation covers the development of girl dynamics beginning in preschool through high school.
This event is specific designed for parents, teachers, coaches, and caregivers.
