At this one-of-a-kind salon, kids can receive spa treatments such as haircuts, updos, washes, facials, manicures, and pedicures in a range of treatments from Lemon Drop Cookie Manis with Sugar Scrub and Souffle toppings to Gummy Worm Mud Pie Manis, and more! Located on the Upper East Side, the Milk & Cookies Kids Spa & Salon was created by cousins, Jataon and Teychenne Whitley, who have created a seriously fun place for kids to get pampered! They recently launched a new line of nail polishes called the SPLAT Collection that’s now available nationwide. Featuring 14 colors in shades of the rainbow from pink to green and everything in between the colors are fun and vibrant. Another cool part of the polishes is that they don’t contain harmful chemicals like formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, camphor, or dibutyl phthalate (DBP).

Weekend Jaunts: How did the launch of the nail polishes come about?
Milk & Cookies Kids Spa & Salon: We were inspired by our customers. We enjoyed seeing the excitement on their faces when they were told to pick out their polish colors. It was the perfect way for us develop another feature to our kids spa & salon making us very unique to our industry. Our goal was to allow children to express themselves through color. Our bright playful colors helps them achieve their colorful imagination while keeping it safe (non toxic, vegan, 5 free) which parents love.
Weekend Jaunts: How did you decide what colors to pick?
Milk & Cookies Kids Spa & Salon:The colors were easy for our first collection. We didn’t follow any fashion trends, it was strictly based upon our everyday clients. We went for vibrant colors like pinks, greens, purples, blues and fun textures like glitters. Our clients loves to sparkle and be glamours.
